About LONSURF

LONSURF is used to treat colon or rectal cancer by slowing down the growth and spread of cancer cells.

Taking the right dose

  • Your doctor will decide the right dose for you – the dose depends on factors such as your weight, height and health
  • Your doctor will tell you how many tablets to take for each 4 week cycle of LONSURF
  • You will take a dose 2 times a day on specified treatment days only

About treatment cycles

You will take LONSURF for 5 days during each of the first 2 weeks, and then ave 2 weeks off. This 4 week period is called a ‘cycle.’ The specific dosing schedule is as follows:

Week 1 Take the LONSURF dose 2 times a day for 5 days Then have 2 days off – No LONSURF
Week 2 Take the LONSURF dose 2 times a day for 5 days Then have 2 days off – No LONSURF
Week 3 No LONSURF
Week 4 No LONSURF

Your doctor will then review your dose and plan the next 4 week cycle.
